SUMMARY: Senapathi, a young extremist and Amritham, a young woman who believes in naxalite methods are both part of a marathon struggle for Indias independence. When Amritham and another woman are stripped for burning British goods, Amritham, contemplates suicide but Senapathi stops her by assuring that he would marry her. Senapathis heroic endevours continue and consequently, he joins Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. Soon after Indias independence, Senapathi weds Amritham. Amritham gives birth to a boy, Chandrabose and a girl, Kasturi. Years roll by, Chandrabose applies for a job and is required to bribe the authorities to secure employment but Senapathi firmly refuses to do so, as a result of which, Chandrabose leaves house. Soon thereafter, Kasturi receives burns in an accidental fire and the doctor refuses to treat her without police certificate. Even police Inspector Rao declines to give this simple certificate without a bribe.
