One day, having to travel by train, they come across Kamli (Tina Munim), a poor girl who sells datuns on the train. She is crass, crude and abusive – a perfect case study for Pratap, who persuades her to allow him to train her voice. He then reminds Kashinath of the bet and that if he perfects Kamlis voice in 6 months, Kashinath will have to marry her. So begins Kamlis transformation into a perfect woman. Meanwhile, however, Pratap unknowingly falls in love with Kamli and she with him.
How will Pratap, Kamli and Kashinath untangle themselves from this web? Will Kamli and Pratap find each others love? Man Pasand is Basu Chatterjees light-hearted comedy supported by frothy lilting music by Rajesh Roshan, lyrics by Amit Khanna and songs like Rehne Ko Ghar Hoga, Logon Ka Dil, Suman Sudha and Charu Chandra Ki.
