The story is about Badal (Dilip Kumar) and Kammu (Kamini Kaushal) who are madly in love with each other. The two swore a lifetime of togetherness, when Kammu’s father challenges Badal. He says that until Badal has a decent job to support himself, he wouldn’t marry his daughter to Badal. Kammu fears that if Badal doesn’t find a job, her father would marry her off to the ‘Thakur’ of the village. This infuriates Badal, who decides to move to the town to find a job. As fate would have it, Badal’s house catches fire and he is assumed to be dead by all. In the meantime, Badal joins Indian army and returns only to find that Kammu is married to the wealthy Thakur. What repercussion does Badal’s re-entry have on Kammu’s life ? Many interesting twists make ‘Arzoo’ a worthy watch!.
