A low-budget urban tale of a former drug pusher trying to go straight in the corrupt environment of the hood, RAMPART follows Dre, a criminal who undergoes a change of heart. Dealing crack on the streets of LA, Dre starts to have second thoughts about his livelihood as he observes its effects on the neighborhood. He decides one night to make one last deal before calling it quits, and informs his supplier, Yogi, of his intentions. Unfortunately, Yogi has connections with some crooked cops, who set Dre up and put him away for three years. When Dre gets out of jail, he continues his activities as a pimp, but refuses to return to drug selling despite increasing pressure from those in the business.
